CSV and PDF Exports
Applications can be exported in bulk in CSV and PDF format. Each cycle’s ‘All Applications’ and ‘Approved for Review’ pages have download buttons at the bottom of the page for CSV (‘CSV’) and PDF (‘Download All Applications’).
CSV
CSV format can be opened by Excel or Google Sheets, letting you analyze application data there.
The PDF export gives you a zip file containing a PDF for each application. This can be used to review the applications offline or to archive as an additional backup.
Customizing Fields on CSV Export
You can customize which fields appear in the CSV Export to include all relevant fields of your application. Each application type can include its own fields on the CSV.
You may want to disable fields for files (pdfs, images, etc.) as these will not be useful within a spreadsheet.
Go to Application Management -> Manage Application Types -> [Type Name] -> Manage Display -> CSV Report. You can reorder the fields, disable fields, display other fields, change field formatters, and change field formatter settings. The process is the same as configuring the display of individual applications. See Managing Application Display.
Customizing Fields in PDF Export
You can customize which fields appear in the PDF downloads to include all relevant fields of your application. Each application type can include its own fields on the PDFs.
The PDF export is a zip containing a Combined PDF for each application. This is the same PDF that applicants and reviewers can download when viewing a submitted application.
Go to Application Management -> Manage Application Types -> [Type Name] -> Manage Display -> CSV Report. You can reorder the fields, disable fields, display other fields, change field formatters, and change field formatter settings. The process is the same as configuring the display of individual applications. See Managing Application Display.
When you configure the PDF display, you're setting which text and image fields to include. You typically want it to be similar to what you display on the applications themselves. You can also include PDF attachment files into the Combined PDF (files that the applicant uploads to their application.) You do this by going to the 'Manage Fields' tab for the application type, editing the field of type 'File' and selecting 'Include in Combined PDF.'
